    Stars’ fans – Be sure to check out Andrew’s Dallas Stars Page for your Stars fix. Excellent and timely information provided by Mark (who also sent in Tuesday’s Turco confirmation).

  2. Mike (Admin) says:

    Niittymaki is 15-0 lifetime against the Thrashers. Expect him to start Tuesday.

    @Mike(admin)
    Any word on whether Varlamov got any work in Hershey this past weekend? It doesn’t look like he suited up in either of their wins(on Saturday or Sunday). I decided to post here seeing as I couldn’t find a “comments” section under “the infirmary” page.
    Also what do you think of a possible Sunday(February 7th) afternoon start vs. the Penguins? That is if all goes well. Yet history certainly doesn’t suggest that there is anything to be positive about, correct?

  4. Mike (Admin) says:

    @bobbyrisigliano – Here is the latest on Varlamov:

    “Semyon Varlamov is expected to return to Hershey later and practice with the team beginning tomorrow. He could play Saturday.”

    @Mike(admin) & everyone on the board
    Viewing all reports coming out of Toronto, what do you think of the time share in percentages that Giggy will get the start vs. “The Monster” now? 70-30, 80-20? I understand that it is the Leafs, and prior team etiquette states: to blindly sign young talent to long contracts and big bucks. But you have to figure he’s(Gustavsson) going to see some action, to merit another contract at the end of the season?
    Lastly, does any of this matter, cause everything actually depends on whether an aging veteran can actually step up and give the Leafs a chance?

    @Mike(admin)
    Thanks for the update on Varlamov.

  7. Mike (Admin) says:

    @bobbyrisigliano – The plan in Toronto, according to Coach Wilson, is to try to fit Gustavsson into 1 start per week. All other starts are expected to go to Giguere.

  8. partymico says:

    Backstrom did not participate in morning skate so Harding likely the starter.
