Hey guys, any thoughts on this guy? 3 games, 3 points, i'm always on the lookout for a new breakout NHL player, but realistically I can't see this keep going, but is he worth a pick up, is he gonna stay in the NHL? Erik Johnson, the man Elliot is currently filling in for, is expected to be reactivated from the IR. Anyhow, I just wanted to bring this up and hear any insight or opinions on this.

I think there might be a trade in the works if Johnson comes back.. and produces at the same pace he is at. Elliott is there to stay from what I heard during the AVS/Devils telecast by the announcers.... Sacco will probably go with 7 d-men for a bit and send down a forward or scratch a forward come game time. I'm not 100% sure on the game roster rules.. but something has got to give here... during the game last night.. Elliott played like a veteran out there... not a 20 year old rookie.

sounds like the Leafs' Jake Gardiner (they got, I believe, in the Beauchemin -> Lupul, Gardiner trade)
Leafs players nicknamed him 'Silver Stick' -- for those who don't know, silver sticks are given to players when they've hit the 1,000 game milestone -- while Gardiner has only played in 24 NHL games (all this season)
