I have been watching Brouwer light it up with the top Capitals line, including on the PP. He wasn't ranked very high in the draft kit, but I'm thinking he'd be along the lines of Prospal or Elias as a good potential bench player, especially if he sticks on a top line.

What do you think?

I think he would be a great pick up this year. He went 147th in our draft to a team who finishes top 3 of 12 every year.

I dropped Elias and picked up Brouwer. Only the regular season will tell.

Hmm, that is an interesting one. I am in a league where we count hits, he could be more valuable over the lower level guys.

Looks like Brouwer won't be starting on the top line; I'm interested to see where they put him in the game tonight.

From what I can find out, Brouwer is competing against Joel Ward for a spot on the second line. Id expect to see him play with Laich and either Knuble or Semin.
