View Full Version : Henrique's value with Zajac coming back?
I feel that clearly, Zajac is going to be the first line pivotman when he is healthy and he is so close to coming back...How do you think this will affect Henrique's value? Thinking about dropping a D and using him for trade bait or flip him.

During the Devils game today, the announcers were talking about what happens to Henrique after Zajac returns.
Their assessment was either:
1) the Devils split Kovy and Parise and do Zajac/Parise on the first line (third possibly Clarkson) then Kovy/Henrique (third Elias?)
2) The Devils let the incredibly hot line of Kovy/Parise/Henrique play together initially..Let Zajac catch his stride on the THIRD line...Then swap the two centers.
I'm not sure if i would drop a D if you start 4...but Gonchar would be an easy drop especially while he is out...

Yea I can't imagine under any scenario where Henriques value takes a hit. The guy is playing so well on that line I just don't see how they can possibly "demote" him which would impact his real life value. He is just playing way too well something like 16 points in his last 12 games. That line is en fuego...I like the idea of them splitting things up because they have an elite top 6
I still can't believe the guy is only owned in 40% of ESPN leagues. I've been preaching him on this site for over a month (not implying that has any effect on his ownership lol) but he is now the 4th ranked center on ESPNs player rater. The guy is a STUD. last night my only guy in play, 1 goal, 2 assists, 1PPP, 1 SHP...I mean holy shi*!

They will probably split Kovy and Parise up
Problem for me is, 23 pts in 26 games is nice, but few PPP and barely any FW from the center position. Also, low SOG for me.

Yea I can understand that for you. As I don't have to worry about FW...he doesn't get a lot of PPPs but he does make up for it in SHPs...and another thing that is good for me is his ATOI which doesn't seem to effect anyone. He's also starting to contribute in hits and blocks. He is extremely valuable under my scoring format but I can understand your reservations in yours.
Interesting note: the first Devils goal was by Elias, assists by Kovy and Parise. Interesting, don't know if that was just a line change thing where Henrique went off real quick but usually Henrique is centering that line.

I think Henrique has better chemistry with Parise than Kovalchuk. I wouldn't mind seeing him stay with Parise and maybe Zajac and having Kovalchuk play with Elias more.
Whatever the outcome, this could be good news for the Devils. Go Brodeur!

Well mbr I hope you are right. I just dropped Krejci for Henrique. Slightly better numbers and much better peripheral stats. I hope he keeps it up. What to do with Zajac now though?

Hes been sitting in my IR, and will until he looks relevant to add to the roster...Zajac/Clarkson will start clicking. Clarkson on a third line is just crazy...Zajac to the right person might land a Roy or Statsny
