Is it just me or has this guy just gone south? Maybe I used up all my good mojo with him and it's time to let him go? He hasn't hardly scored lately and does shi* in every category except ATOI. I am thinking about dumping him for someone like Corvo or even taking a look at Kurtis Foster or Chris Phillips as they add something in other categories. Thoughts? Am I being too impatient or were the 2 goals and 16 assists so out of whack that now he's crashing back down to earth?

They had split up Seabrook & Keith. Thats when Leddy was paired up with Keith and was being carried. Now the shutdown duo is back together again and Leddy is in the dumps.

Foster has been really good in Jersey so far..... I'm watching his ice time... and if he becomes a regular on the PP... I'm gonna snap him up.

See I needed a Hawks fans perspective. So his value was highly tied to playing with Keith and now the proverbial well has dried up. I'm gonna keep my eye on foster as well, or since I have so many d-men I could make a run at another forward. Thanks for the insight!!!

Pick up Niskanen if he's available. Playing extremely well with all the Pittsburgh injuries.

So with Seabrook's injury Sunday does Leddy fill that void again?

Nishkanen isn't available. Pickings are very slim, though to be totally honest I don't HAVE to pick up another d-man since I have Quincey, Whitney, Edler, Pietrangelo, Johnson, Goligoski and Kaberle. Leddy is my 8th and I can start a max of 6 tonight and the only time that happens is on a Saturday. But I'll throw some options out you guys tell me what you think (remember though ATOI is very important to me):

Foster - NJD - Seems to have found a niche, is getting top PP time over Larson and played for Oates in TB so familiarity is there (similar to the Kaberle situation if you ask me and so far that has worked out well). He'd help in ATOI (over 20 minutes a game, PP production and SOG relative to most d-men. Doesn't do much in hits or blocks or PIMs

Filip Kuba - was actually playing quite well before he went on the IR. has high ATOI and decent blocks but doesn't help much anywhere else

Hjalmarsson - actually intriguing because he plays about as much as Leddy but contributes in hits and blocks

Chris Phillips - the guy is a hit/block machine. he has 9 assists and averages about 20+ minutes a night
Mark Stuart - See above lol identical to Phillips in almost every way

Adam Ference - lower ATOI but has the most points. Plus since he plays for Boston he's got a +9

Simon Despres - PITT - actually interesting with all their defensive injuries. He has only played 8 games but his ice time is increasing every game (up to 20 minutes last game) and he has points in B2B games. However that's a big risk

Roman Polak - high hits and blocks

So yea like I said slim pickings. There is plenty of forward talent out there though: Penner, Kostitsyn, Desharnais, Hansen, Dubinsky, Colin Greening, Dominic Moore, Korpikoski, Brenden Morrison, Arnott, Ennis, Bouchard and Steve Sullivan to name a few. Just not a lot out there.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. I also saw someone just dropped Havlat...I am gonna put a waiver claim on him and if he goes to the IR I can stash him with my open spot. I'm a bit surprised he got dumped so quick. I'm pretty low on the wire though so my chances are probably pretty slim. My hope is that most of my league is using their avaiable IR spots which is why he got dropped in the first place.

I'm a Hawks fan, Leddy is the real deal...but hes young and still learning how to play D at an Elite level...with seabrook out he may regain the form he had earlier in the season. Dudes a stud.

Quincey is hurt... day to day with a groin injury. Have you taken a look at Jared Cowan in Ottawa?... He's lighting it up!!! Check his stats in the last 7 days.

Leddy is better than every single one of these players. Ference has the most upside of the group

I'm gonna hold onto Leddy for now...actually have to lol because I just packaged him in a deal so I can't drop him. If this trade works out whoa is my team about to get offensevly better...but I'm pretty sure my league will veto it since they're just like that. If I stand to gain they will veto. Thing is I'm improving this guys defense tenfold and giving him Getzlaf. His defense is pathetic...and he has Crosby, Kessell, Kopitar, Seguin, Hossa and Parise to name a few but he's in dead last place because his defense is AWFUL. we'll see...not having high hopes honestly

This is all for fun, but I think it's way too early to be calling Leddy a stud. Minnesota, who arguably has one of the top scouting units, sent Leddy packing before he even played any significant professional hockey after drafting him in the first round. That's not to say he won't be a star in the future, but he's very far from that right now.

Over 22 minutes a night, 2 goals and 16 assists...but it seems to me that the 'Hawks would rather nebular a defensive role and let their stud forwards and Keith or Seabrook attack while Leddy covers the back..is that a fair assessment? Because when Seabrook was out he was scoring at a very nice clip ( for a defender). Since Seabrook came back he has maybe 3 points? He's still seeing gobs of ice time so that's sort of why I'm reaching that conclusion.
