Any of these guys worth stashing on my ir for this season? I was thinking maybe Huselius and/or Erat would be worth an addition. We are allowed 3 IR's and I already have Perron on my IR.

Free Agent Players on IR

Erat
Huselius
Savard
Brendan Morrison
Nittymaki
Scott Clemmensen
Marc Staal
Mason Raymond

Well if you need goalie help I would think about Nittymaki because he should definitely be the backup once he comes back.

Staal might be a decent addition to, he is going to log a ton of time on the Rangers blue line when he comes back and I think he runs the point on the 1st PP unit, and considering the upgrades they have offensively he might be a very good add.

No one knows about Savard so I wouldn't touch him. Fisher and Erat are good players...not sure if I would stash them. Raymond is intriguing, he played pretty well for Vancouver last year and he might be a good add..though they are saying he is not guaranteed to skate on the top 3 lines, and considering he's not coming back for awhile it might be really tough for him to crack those top 3 lines if they are clicking when he comes back. Just my .02 of course

Santorelli may be an interesting option as well. He could have a nice little season when he comes back.

thanks..there is also Niederreiter as well a free agent eligible for IR..I heard he is expected to be playing with Tavares when he comes back..I was also looking at Huselius since he is most likely to play in the top 2 lines for Columbus..if he can be with Carter and Nash should be good but Prospal has been amazing in that position thus far. How many games do you expect from Nittymaki when he gets back? I already have Bryz, Crawford, and Nabokov so my goaltenders seem strong. I am praying Nabby gets traded soon and becomes a starter..crossing my fingers for Roloson to go bad and Tampa Bay looking to add him.

You don't need Nitty. Prospal supposedly got dropped down to the 2nd line in today's practice would you believe. I still like Raymond and Santorelli, but NIederreiter may be an awesome sleeper.

What are you serious? Why would they drop Prospal down to the 2nd line when the 1st line has been scoring like crazy? F' me that is going to seriously hurt his value :(

Edit: I need to check on the availability of Santorelli and Niederreiter because I'm not sure anyone in my leauge has them. With Whitney coming off the IR hopefully this week, I would have another spot available and I could probalby stash one of tohse guys on mine as well. Hmm

EditEdit: This is what RotoWorld is saying (dammit!): With Jeff Carter sidelined, Prospal skated on the Blue Jackets' second line with Antoine Vermette and Alexandre Giroux during Monday's practice, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Spin: Prospal has been a fantasy steal in the early going while skating with Carter and Rick Nash, leading the Jackets with three goals and five points through five games, so another line placement could put a big dent in his production. Be wary about using him this week

Yeah, because of Carter's injury they're shaking the lines up and moving Brassard and Umberger to top and moving Prospal to 2nd line.

Kesler definite now as per Vancouver Sun Sports writer.

I saw that re: kesler woohoo! Thankfully I aquired him last night in that trade so I get to use him right away that is awesome! Too bad Malkin won't be playing, having Malkin, Kesler, Getzlaf, Pavelski, Roy, Eriksson, Ribeiro, Gaborik, Callahan, etc.. would be incredibly. Also need Whitney back but no firm word yet from EDM in terms of when he's gonna play. They are saying he's definitley not gonna play tonight but should return Tuesday or Thursday..my guess is Thursday if he's not playing tonight but that's just a guess.

I do owe you man...I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger without a little push :)

And good call on him coming back..sounds like he's totally healthy so let the scoring begin! Now if I can only get a healthy Malkin on the ice to go along with Kesler, Pavelski, Getzlaf, Roy, Eriksson, Ribeiro, Gaborik, etc... I will be LOADED

thanks SirJesto :) just hoping Niederreiter clicks on that first line when he gets back..that would definitely pay off. Where do you guys seeing Santorelli playing? They already have Weiss centering the first line. :)
