Neal's looked fantastic to start the season in Pittsburgh and has developed chemistry with Sullivan...he'll be playing with Malkin or Crosby no matter what...he's young with lots of upside and already has 5 goals and 1 assist in 6 games

Sharps playing on a line w/ Toews and Brunette in CHI, as well as on PP1 with Toews, Kane, Brunette and Keith

My buddy's a big Pens fan and said he wants Neal bad and would most likely give me Sharp for him...take advantage of Neal's start and sell high now, amrite?

I think that's probably a good move on your part to sell Neal high for Sharp.

Neal is a great player, thing that worries me is will he even have Crosby or Malkin on a consistent basis? It sure doesn't look like it right now..and Sharp has been playing with Toews for a few years and they click really well, and put him on the PP united with Toews and kane and watch out. I think you'll make out in the long run personally, but let's wait to hear from someone else.

On another note, I need 6 SOG tonight with Getzlaf and Pietrangelo in play to tie the category, and I got 5...SERIOUSLY??? :(

Urgh, I was somewhat similar...went into tonight down 5-3-2...tied in Wins and .002 down in SV%...was looking fine til Halak goes and lays an(other) egg in the 3rd period.... .848 SV% through 4 games...pitiful...very worried about him with Elliot playing well against the Sharks last night

Well do you have room on your roster to stash Elliot? I would do that if I were you...I did it with Brodeur and Hedberg (mostly because there was no #1 goalie out there, Hedberg is good and should see a lot of starts).

Hell I just picked up Enroth and after last nights game and the fact that they guy is gonna be seeing the ice every 3 games or so according to their coach - lol...along with Adam flying out of the gates, I got the guy that owns Miller and loves the Sabres to think about a Enroth + Adam trade...I say that only in the sense that he seems very interested.

I handcuffed him and you DON'T want that to happen to you. I mean if you have 3-4 #1 goalies then obviously I would stand pat But if you have room for another goalie I'd protect your investment personally. Last thing you want to have happen is someone else gets Elliot and then leverages him over you if Halak bombs out. Trust me, I play that game all the time (am doing it right now lol). Hell someone just dropped Neuvy in my league..If I can move Enroth for a good deal, I'll jump on Neuvy as my #4 and then hold onto him or possibly do the same exact thing with Vokun's owner. yes I play like that :)

I could drop Mueller...he IS playing top line in Colorado/top PP...doesn't have a point in 3 games and is 'injured' at the moment...that's about my only option I'd say...Fleischman, maybe, but he's in the same boat as Mueller for top line/top PP in FLA

I declined this deal after my buddy (who's a Pens fan) said he 'wanted a couple of more games to see if Neal was the real deal'...I told him "in a couple of more games, the deal's prolly off of the table" and I canceled it half-way through last night's Pens-Wild game for two reasons: 1) my god does Neal look good, even with Sid and Malkin out of the line-up; do you guys think he can produce consistently at this rate all season with those guys around him? I'm talking like 40-35 or something like that and 2) I want to make it look like I value Neal a ton ... with that said, I am seriously considering keeping Neal now unless an offer I can't refuse comes around

Hell yes I would have canceled that trade. I think that was a BRILLIANT move from you doing that. Yes Neal looks very good and yes I think he can produce even without Malkin or Crosby. Personally I'd rather have Sharp so at this point I think you might be confused about why I just wrote all this lol. It was a brilliant tactical move on your part to cancel the trade because for one it should show him that you really value Neal maybe more than he thought. Second I think the reverse psychology on this was great. He was wavering on pulling the trigger. Now he might be pissed that he missed his chance and might be willing to offer MORE. Good move man either way...if you keep him that's fine, heck even if you move him for sharp I still think it's a good move. But I'm guessing you can leverage him more because of what you did.
