Am I dreaming? Is this trade idea too heavily weighted to the Stamkos side?
Realistic or insulting?

At this point in the season that may be a stretch, BUT Stamkos isn't exactly lighting it up is he?

The problem is neither is Zetterberg. You can certainly offer the trade but I don't think the other party will accept it.

True, I sure could have used something out of him on draftstreet the other night....... :X
Seems like a fair deal to me.
If you count FO's like we do, Zetty and Elias are great because they are wing eligible and take a large amount of face offs. I drafted Elias for points, but got a nice surprise when he was moved to center and started taking FO's.

That is about what I was thinking. Stamkos cooled a lot the later part of last season and through the playoffs, so I think his value is lower than the Yahoo rankings and other sources state.
I might try for it – he’ll probably counter with E Staal in place of Stamkos.

Well its fairly obvious that as goes St. Louis, so does Stamkos..and right now neither is producing.
Keep in mind that Dubinsky got moved down to the 2nd line with Callahan and thus will not be skating with Richards. I don't know how that will eat into his value - I am of the opinion that Callahan is a great guy to have on your line and I don't think its gonna hurt Dubinsky that much if at all..plus he's staying on the top PP unit.
So I gather you are offering Zetterberg and Elias for Stamkos and Dubinsky based on the comment that "he will probably counter with Staal" correct? Even then...I'd have to break down the stats but I don't think that's a bad trade at all. Staal hurts you in +/- but he helps a ton in PIMs for his position and his SOG are way out of this world. Plus hey, the guy has a knack for scoring. I broke him down in a Staal + Nash for D. Sedin + Laich trade in another thread. Let us know what the final proposal is and I guess we can go from there. Also what stats do you use in your league?

offence categories :
g, a, ppp, shp, pim, gwg, +/-
power forwards like dubinsky who kill penalties (and get shp opportunities) and also get penalties have a real niche value in this league.

If you can wait until later tonight, i'd be happy to break out last year's stats based on your scoring categories and do a run-down..just can't do it now, at work..I have some free time but I don't have my spreadsheet in front of me lol.

wow... that's service! I am pretty sure about the dubinsky for elias part. it it the stamkos or staal forà zetterberg part I am thinking more about. zetter is a lw/c.... other guys are simple centres.
we have no ir so duel position guys have a bit more value
