Following up on the other thread here regarding Hedberg, I also have a chance to grab another goalie and wanted an opinion about these guys (currently I have Rinne and Varlamov).

Hedberg has good numbers, going back 20 starts or so, and Garon may end up getting a fair amount of starts due to Rolli's age/performance. Schneider plays on a "better team" so he may see more wins per start that he does manage to get. Khabibulin is hot right now, though I suppose he could sink fast depending on the team in front of him (I thought about Dubnyk as well, but, maybe not).

Any thoughts would be appreciated; thanks!

(As an aside, I consistently find this site to be amazingly helpful, and really appreciate the hard work that must go into maintaining it. Thanks guys!)

Both Oiler goalies are playing well, but the team is young and defence isn't exactly their strong point. It's hard to say when they are going to give up five or more goals.

This is coming from a die hard Oilers fan, and as excited as I am about this team it's too early to be putting much fantasy hopes on Oiler goalies.

I lean towards Garon, even if Rolli gets hot Garon will still get a decent number of starts, and even though they haven't shown it so far this season TB is a major force to be reckoned with. Vancouver is a good team and Schnieder is a good option, but I say the same holds true for TB and Garon will start more is my guess.

I have both Hedberg and Garon. I'd go with Garon for the reasons stated above. I really wish I started Garon instead of Hedberg tonight. His SO would have tied me in that category with my opponent lol..

Garon without a doubt..he is making a very strong case to take the starting job from Role.
