Hes due back this week, just wondering what you guys all think about him? I have him as my 4th goalie in a points league that value wins (6) and shutouts (15) and thats the only two goalie categories. I just am curious do you think he is going to take starts from vokoun? Ive read mixed reports.

I think the take on Neuvirth is pretty much as it always has been-- Talented, alittle injury prone and clearly #2 behinf Vokoun.

I thinkl the Caps first priority this year is to deliver Vokoun rested and in top shape to the playoffs. Their secondary goal is to continue to develop Neuvirth as a styrong alternative if Vokoon falters or is injured.

I originally thought that a 50 to 30 split might do that but now I am thinking 25 starts for Neuvirth. The reality is that the Caps look like a team that will easily make the playoffs and can spend the last 20 games setting their goalie rotation to whatever they think is optimal for the playoffs.

With his foot issue, Neuvirth is as yet a bit of an unknown quantity this year --If he gets in there and excells as much as Vokoun, perhaps the Caps may give him more starts but I always believed that for Vokoun, as long as he is playing well, the job is his

Vokoun is a work horse and will play many games (60+).

Not that Coach Boudreau would listen to us, but all of the data out there suggests that resting your goalie in the regular season does not affect his playoff performance.

From a hockey and fantasy hockey perspective, I'd like to see Vokoun get 65 starts.

so do you think its worth picking up a guy like Garon and hope he splits and drop Neuvirth?
