So our fantasy league always gets off to a late start and I got the #1 pick this year.
So the question is who do you take at #1 as of today? D. Sedin or Ovechkin? Others? Your thoughts are appreciated!

I give the edge right now to Sedin....what has Ovie done to show he's on the rebound this year? I mean the coach has changed the entire format of that offense

What type of league are you in? How is the scoring handled?

Headtohead - G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, shorthand goals, faceoffs won, hits. Goalies are standard wins, goals against, save %, shutouts. Ovie definately has the shots and hits categories but their new style of play and the fact that I had him last year with a subpar year have me leaning toward Sedin......thanks!
You're in a tough spot; I'm not sure I'd want the #1 overall pick (mainly because it means you're #2 pick is so late). Ovechkin would be very high on my list, though I would also consider a goalie. Do you have a positional plan for the first few rounds?

Not a bad thought on goalie 1st...it's only 10 team league with 140 players drafted...so there will be plenty of waiver wire talent. Yea I am not happy about the #1 either...thanks for the advice!!

I was hoping to snag Miller or Vokuun at the end of the 2nd round...if they are there
Can you trade the pick? And by this, I mean can you trade down and potentially swap picks in another round?

Ditto
Through a number of drafts I have actually found I dislike being anywhere near the ends of the snake-- in a 12 team draft I find if you get 2 picks together every 24, you can miss out on the trends when there is a run on a position or whatnot and lots of times if you want a certain player you have to draft him early-- You might rank them 35th but your choices are to pick them 24th/25th or see them be gone before your 48th/49th pick
If I could pick my draft position it would alway be something like 5th or 6th I think

In my format I still like a goalie as the #1 pick...Thomas, Lundy, Quick, Howard..not sure but most likely a goalie. Then it would be tough to pass up a guy like Chara since he kills it in every single category (same goes for Weber). Also if you look at the player rater on ESPN specifically for my format you'd be surprised: Elliott is the #2 OVERALL player wow...Hossa and Clutterbuck are two of the top forwards. So honestly I'm thinking my #1 pick would seem nuts to a lot of people...well #2 I guess since I'd still draft a goalie with my #1 (took Lundy with the #5 overall pick this year - last year I had the #2 overall and took Sid).
