Hartnell

I have Lucic in my 8 team H2H league that has points for PIM, shots, G,A, +/- and PP points.
Hartnell is available as a FA and he has been on fire lately. I also have Briere on my team and don't have any other Bruins. Would you drop Lucic for Hartnall or do you think Lucic is going to catch fire soon?

That is really tough. Hartnell is on the top line with Giroux and Jagr which obviously is a HUGE upgrade over his 3rd line pairing with Read and Couturier. I mean if he stays on that top line, well history shows us the Philly top 6 produce over the last 2 years. I have a guy with 9 Flyers on his team right now and he is leading our league in points through 3 weeks. I mean when they go ballistic its tough..though obviously his PM can get crushed if they have a bad game, the opposite is also true and seems to be happening more freqently than the other. I mean they score a PP goal and he gets 1G/2A/3PPP it seems like all the time lol.

I am not a big Lucic follower though so I'd wait and see what else everyone has to say. But hartnell also helps in PIM.

Meh, I dropped Hartnell like a bad habit earlier, so with my luck he'll tear it up for the rest of the season. Right now I'd say ride the hot hand. With a league 8 teams deep there should always be enticing stuff in the free agent pool, don't drop the goose before it's done giving you all it's golden eggs.

The thing that really sucks is that I neglected to say was that I drafted Hartnell, and Lucic became available when he was slumping. I dropped Hartnell just b4 he went on his tear recently. I had Looch last year and he was great. Really struggling with who to go with for my LW.

not a big fan of lucic myself, i think hartnell has alot more upside and gets you PIM's. I would drop lucic for hartnell

Well I rode the horse long enough. I dropped Lucic today after last nights game vs Ottawa. Eventhough he did get a PP goal I felt he wasn't playing with a lot of drive. Hartnell does not put up the points like he used to but now that Philly has some injury woes I felt that he might get top line honours. Philly has 3 tough games this week yet and the Bruins only have one more left. I felt that the 3 games that Philly will play this week will hopefully make up for Boston's one game. Any thoughts?

I dropped Lucic for hartnell this morning. I did accumulate Lucic's points against Ottawa last night however the B's only have 1 more game this week and Philly has 3 more left this week. I felt Hartnell would rack up more points in 3 games and get top line play with Briere DTD and Harts with the hot hand lately. It will be interesting if anyone in my league scoops Lucic back up when his waiver status is lifted. I hope Hartnell does not make me look bad.
