Kessel sees more pp time, and neither one of them is going to get you any shorties. I think I'd take it.

Hmm...I am trying to figure out what angle this guy is playing. Why trade away the leading point scorer in the NHL right now? For Jagr? I mean Jagr is good and all don't get me wrong but Kessell...I'd be asking for a lot more if I had Kessell right now. If you're gonna get rid of him sell high I'd think. So yea lol I'd take this trade unless I'm totally missing something here.

I think this is a slam dunk, Jagr is what, 39 years old? - I do not think he will be able to keep up the pace he is on - where as Kessel should be able to maintain some scoring (maybe not the level he is at now, but he is on when it matters). Your going to get more PP time with Kessel.

Personally I like Jagr's odds of keeping his numbers better than Kessel. Kessel has always been streaky and Toronto started out strong last year too and look what happened as the season went on. Jagr on the other hand is putting up similar points to his last few seasons in New York, he's shooting right around his average shooting %, and has Giroux's playmaking ability to work with. Selanne put up over a point-per-game last year and he's older than Jagr.

maybe being here in TO - I am a little biased - LOL - maybe your right?? - the difference between Jagr and Selanne - Selanne has been in the NHL (without any KHL play) and we all know that the NHL is the better, and tougher league than the KHL. Once teams start really focussing on him, I do not think he can sustain it - but time will tell. Personally I hope he does and the Hartnell, Jagr, Giroroux line stays in place - (as a Hartnell owner).
