What are the chances of nabokov playing this year, and how much??
Is he worth picking up in the later rounds???

I'd say if solid backups like Rask, Schneider and Lindback are all gone he'd be worth picking up. If he gets enough starts and does well he could be traded to a team that needs a solid #1 by the trade deadline in which his value will increase significantly.

I don't think I answered your first question clearly. He has said he would attend camp this year, so its a good bet he'll be playing for the Isles this year.

He should get his share of games as he is clearly the most talented (and least injured) goaltender on the Isle.

Yeah I actually took a chance on him as my 3rd goalie

If you only start 2 goalies, having him as a third could benefit. I know in my 12 team league where we start 2 goalies, most weeks you can get a goalie who is starting off of waivers.

DiPietro is out indefinitely with a concussion, so Nabokov might get some starts... via @StapeNewsday (http://twitter.com/#!/StapeNewsday/status/124874740379820032)

The question is, is he worth picking up? I have this issue with Anderson and needing a 3rd goalie and there are no #1s left..and I need to figure out this Anderson situation fast because he's KILLING my goaltending stats right now. If I bench him indefinitely that's gonna hurt me pretty bad too...darn I wish there was at least a viable #1 on the wire right now I could pick up but NADA.

I have a feeling Nabokov will get the playing time of any other backup and they'll ride the Montoya wave as long as they can. For an Islanders team with mediocre defense, he has played well in three games so far. Nabokov also hasn't really had any sustained playing time for over a year so I don't think it would be wise to pick him up over other backups.

I'm still have him in one league but I'm very likely going to drop him tonight for Josh Harding, which will likely kick me in the ass but hey, I need more starts.

Well as discussed in another thread, I'm wondering if Khabibulin is actually the best option I have if I want to drop Anderson. I think its Dubnyk's job to lose, but at the same time I think Khaby gets his fair share of starts..as evident by the fact that Dubnyk got the first start and then Khaby gets the 2nd 4-days later so obviously it wasn't rest related. Plus EDM is better than OTT..hmm...I really don't know what to do lol...

Khabby will probably get 35-40% as long as he continues to play well.

Enroth has suddenly become extremely enticing based on a twitter feed mike just shared at me. If he gets upwards of 30 starts like they are saying I'm thinking about picking him up and dropping Anderson. Not only that but then I handcuff miller's owner big time and might be able to pull off a great trade with him. Advice???
