Could Dominik Hasek Be On Your Fantasy Roster Next Season?
According to a report from CBC’s Elliotte Friedman, Dominik Hasek is considering a return to the NHL.
Zdenek Matejovsky of Czech station TV Nova showed me an article from newspaper “Daily Sports” indicating Dominik Hasek is in N. America and wants a return to the NHL. Hasek: “For sure, I know what I want…even my agent, he knows…but I’m not going to make any comments.”
Of course, just 15 months ago, Hasek noted that he was done with the NHL – story.
Sarah Baicker, of CSNPhilly.com, speculates here about what a Hasek return could mean to a Philadelphia team that is considering a veteran backup goalie this off-season.

This brings back some memories. The last time I saw Hasek in our fantasy hockey league was the 2007 fantasy hockey draft where he was taken in the 2nd round (after four keeper players/team). That team went on to finish 3rd in our league, while Hasek went on to earn a Stanley Cup with Detroit.

Helene St. James reports that the Detroit Red Wings have zero interest in Hasek (if he were to return to the NHL).

I would draft Hasek in one of the last rounds if he ends up on a strong team.
