Rick Nash Traded to the New York Rangers

Rick Nash was dealt to the New York Rangers today in exchange for Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Tim Erixon, and 1st round draft pick.

According to Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus also included a 3rd round draft pick and a minor league defenseman in the deal.

The minor league player in the deal is Steve Delisle. The 3rd round pick is conditional (NYR has to send it back to CLB if NYR reaches the Cup final).

Columbus was in a terrible spot for this trade:

      1. Limited number of potential trade partners (Nash had a NMC).

      2. High cap hit ($7.8M).

      3. Nash wanted out (publicly).
