Week 6 H2H-- How did you do

Overall not a great week for me

    Hitmen 5-7 (35-34-3 5th of 12)

Goalies I have Lehtonen, Crawford Pavelec and Neuvirth so it wasn't pretty but salvaged a 2-3 by taking GS and W. Offensively I crushed in PIMS, Hits and plus-minus but got crushed otherwise-- I think this makes 4 weeks in a row where I have lost relatively narrowly-- THis is both praise and a criticism of my rough and tumble strategy. I AM winning hits and Pims pretty regularly but I am not getting the scoring I hoped for and expected. THis team may need a bit of surgery

    Tigers 4-9-1 (32-39-13 8th of 14)

THis was the tale of two sweeps-- I won goalie categories 4-0-1 but they were really close-- Scrivens Sunday start won me saves and all of wins,GAA and Sv% were close so I could have gotten wiped out-- Offensively I got killed-- I wasn't close-- I am really getting worried about my long term prospects for this team but I looked at my numbers and I would have split the offensive categories against half the other teams and won at least one against anyone other than who I played . MY opponent had 6 point weeks from Weiss, Plekanec, and Cole and that killed me. After playing the top teams over the last 4 weeks I am hoping to start moving up--- The "record book" does reflect that I have faced the strongest schedule thus far---The fact that many of these losses were close gives me hope-- THat plus the Anderson resurgence that say him play very well in consecutive starts

    Brawlers-- 9-3-1 (49-23-6 1st of 10)

THis team continues to roll-- 5 goalies contributed wins and the worst sv% was .912- for a 4-0-1 on goalies-- Offense was 5-3 for me losing only PPP,SHP and G. I am fielding LOTS of trade offers but nothing interesting .

Took it on the chin with my skaters, won PIM and FOW. Swept goalies thanks to Carey Price and his 2 SO performance with a GAA under 1, and a S% of almost .97. All in all won 6-5. I was in second and I was playing first so it was good enough to move me into first place. Another team moved into second, same point total as me but I have more wins. I have 77 points for first, and fourth has 76 points, so it's pretty darn tight. Once again I play in a match-up that pits the first place team against the second place team. I also have made two trades with this manager, so hopefully his old players show up to haunt him, not vice versa. Crosby returns, and I've Read who will give me some FOW from the wing which I need, I am pretty abysmal in that category, Luckily my opponent was even worse. The tragedy of this week is that my team and my opponents team could have slaughtered all the other teams in the league, but we played each other, so it ended up being 6-5. Still, can't complain about the overall results, and I have another big test this week.

Well last week was better - although I got killed on Saturday night -was 10-1-1 with one game to play on the night. Feeling pretty confident (almost cocky)!!!! I was playing my brother (jerk) and he has 3 oilers. RNH, Smyth and Eberle - and they killed me in scoring. I also got punked on the Stat Correction - went to bed thinking I was 8-3-1 woke up this moring to see he stole the +/- due to that and ended up 7-4-1. Oh well, my goalies continued to roll and keep me going. I have made some changes to my team that hopefully will get me some SHP, and more PPP. Also I need Getzlaf to start scoring or at least get some assists, traded for Krejci and now he needs to do something .....I'm in 3rd and playing the last place team....

Fantastic week for the Humongous Melonheads. My team was so good this week that the 11-3-1 victory doesn't actually do it justice. Price carried the goaltending with 2 SO and I think I was up by like 10 points after monday due to my Flyers (combined 3 G and 12 A on the week for the 4 of them). I only lost blocks, GWG, and saves, and tied PIM. I actually should have won saves but I forgot to start Schneider on Sunday night. My opponent caught me in PIMs on the last day and somehow Konopka managed to not get in a fight, so we tied there. My team is usually close to tops in G but I cannot seem to get any GWGs for some reason. Still in second place on the season.

    I had 4 wins, a 2.19 GAA, and a .932 SV%. I did not win a single goalie category.

I went 2-6-2 overall for the week. I made a couple of roster moves late in the week and I'm looking for a payoff in the coming weeks.

I hate when that happens. You were probably better than the rest of the league, but lost to that one stronger.

went 5-3-2 for my third straight week being undefeated following starting the season 0-3. Absolutely owned all 4 of my goalie cats with Thomas/Halak. 1-3-2 in player cats kinda sucked. But if you had told me before the week that Gabs and Backstrom would go undefeated and I'd win the match 5-3-2 I'd have been content.

Well.. lets catch up a little.. week 1.. 5-5-0 tie, week 2 won 5-3-2, week 3 lost 3-6-1, week 4 lost 2-8-0, week 5 won 7-1-2, and well this week.. week 6.. I got killed.. 2-8-0.. I made a few last minute adds on sunday night.. with Dupuis since I heard that Crosby was going to be back.. and they were to be on the same line. And as usual, my goalies let me down big time.. first and foremost Varlamov.. who was like a sive out there... Elliott didn't get the starts he did the week prior... and neither did Neuvirth or Bernier.. and when Neuvirth did get a start.. he was rusty. So... I've been really shopping around Nash for a goalie.. with no luck. So, I have to just play with what I got I guess and hope my star players play like stars. So far though with Crosby back.. after night one into week 7.. I'm winning the matchup 6-0... haha!
