    Nothing personal, but ...

I hate 'em, especially the arrogance of their fans (not directed towards to you personally, of course). I hate 'em so much if they played the Russians I'd have to flip a coin to see who to cheer for. Seriously, my two favorite teams are the 'Hawks and whoever's playing Montreal.

I mostly hate them for having the NHL legislate the first two players from Quebec to them every year up until about the 70's to "protect their 'Habitant' identity." I hated Sammy Pollack and his fatuous assertion "What's good for the Montreal Canadiens is good for the NHL." Like they thought the league owed them the cup. They're in a tailspin today, and I'm truly enjoying it. I hope they miss the playoffs for the next 20 years.

This is hardly the first time their team make-up has been politicized within the French-English debate. When Wayne Thomas played goal, the French media would immediately ask first why the coach didn't play the French goalie, Michel (Bunny) Larocque; the result of the game was secondary. And they're grumbling even today about Carey Price, whom they don't deserve.

There, I feel better now. And that video was fun

As for the Habs in a tail spin right now......... (I'm a Bruins fan).

I would argue that while the Bruins have the upper hand right now, les Habs have historically had far the better of the battle

Lavy said it in 24/7 . Typical Montreal game with the refs. I'll take the Bruins game over the Habs. Have the Habs had any sand in the visitor runway lately. They definitely add to home ice advantage.
