Ryan Suter being in the ASG ... alright ... 8th overall in league scoring. Girardi? Since when does the ASG care that you're leading the league in avg. TOI? Who cares?


As far as me mentioning Brad Richards ... I don't say he's possibly one of the more highly overrated players in the league solely b/c of his salary.
It's the fact that everybody was shitting themselves over the chance to get a crack at him as an UFA. And the fact people thought he was sooooooooooooooooo good that they were willing to slap down $9million or whatever, over a long ass time for this guy because he's suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a game changer.


Gomez I don't think should be up there solely b/c his current contract was signed after he had a big year with another team. NYR signed him to his 51.5 mil/7 years contract in '07. NYR just simply signed him to a stupid contract, I don't think anybody actually views him as a player whose value deserves said contract.

Kovalchuk is one of the most overrated? Look at his fricken stats...

Lecavalier deserves to be on this list.

Jay Boumeester ... why did people think he was the next best thing? Because he ripped it nationally for the Jrs and maybe in his first year or 2?

WTF?! Mike Komisarek? Why the hell is Komisarek on this list? Who the hell views him as being incredible?

Olli, as far as I know, is seen as what he is. A big player with more than the potential to put up 75+ points but normally doesn't.

I'd put him in with Edler, Yandle, Boyle and the like.
That big group of 'known D' that would be ahead of Liles, Kronwall, Gonchar, etc.

I'm a little surprised Kane made it in ahead of Sharp. He hasn't really been playing to his potential this year. They must want the name recognition or hope the game goes to a shootout? I would have liked to see Parise or Kovalchuk added and Backstrom over Ovechkin. That first Florida line should have gotten at least 1 nod too for their work up to this point in the season. I think they did a good job with the other positions though.

It's unfortunate that the hosting city gets so many players voted in. It makes it so some fringe players on other teams get snubbed.
