Enough pondering, time to act? Zetter + Brown -> D Sedin

    Zetter
    9G, 25A, +3, 16PIM, 5 PPP, 3 GWG, 147 SOG, 294 FW
    Brown
    13G, 13A, +4, 36 PIM, 10 PPP, 5 GWG, 142 SOG, 8 FW
    ==========================================
    22G, 38A, +7, 52PIM, 15 PPP, 8 GWG, 289 SOG, 302 FW

    for

    D Sedin
    20G, 30A, +14, 34 PIM, 21 PPP, 4 GWG, 155 SOG, 4 FW

    -2G, -8A, +7, -18 PIM, +6 PPP, -4 GWG, -134 SOG, -298 FW

This trade looked better in my mind before I did the quick, short stats #s crunch just now ... The trade would give me 2 top 10 players (Sedin + Datsyuk) but with a 14 team league and 20 player rosters (not counting 1 IR spot/team) the available FAs don't come near to making up some of those 'lost stats'.

I've tried swapping out Brown for Prospal, Hejduk and even Stastny -- none of which he has any interest.

Obtaining Daniel Sedin is attractive, but is it too costly for me?
I'm currently ranked 9/14 and top 8 make the cut for playoffs.
I play the person I'd be trading with next week in our match-up and *sarcastically* lucky me, I get to play them for 2 weeks (b/c of ASG) and this person is currently in 3rd, losing 8-4 to the person in 1st.

Quick run down of his team:
Krejci, Fisher, Marchand, Michalek (Milan), Burrows, D Sedin, Matt Read, Backes, Giroux, Callahan, Hanzal, Desharnais, Versteeg

Suter, Carlson, Jay Harrison, Shane O'Brien, Ehrhoff

add your pick up to the trade, keep in mind Sedin gets those numbers and only takes up one player slot. If you can't find a guy in FA that has 2G and 8A somethings wrong. You do loose on FW though, although depending on who you pick up you could erase that too. You're going to be out of luck on SOG, but otherwise you could pretty much recoup your minuses with your FA pick up. I'd probably do this.

Yeah, NightParade says it all here.......I was thinking the same thing. You're gonna open up a roster spot from this and go get the top FA that will benefit your team the most. Simple. Do the trade.
