Which offensive stats do you want to be used? Goals, assists, power play points, plus-minus, and shots looked pretty unanimous in the "how many stats" thread so everyone can just list which five stats they want not including those five.

G, A, +-, PIMS and SOG were unanimous on those that gace their stat lines
Hits (9 of 10) PPP (7 of 8) are near shoo-ins
Blocks (8 of 10)
FOW (7 of 9)
SHP (4 of 8)

round out the top 10 currently. The only other current stats mentioned are

PPG (1 of 8)
PPA (1 of 8)

Tim my view is that we leave this open for a while so that people can complete their choices (if they chose less than 10 , vote OR change their mind I can amend this as people list preferences.

Currently I am most on the fence about

SHP-- I like it in that it values some different sorts of players but its a bit or a wildcard stat similar to shutouts--

FOW-- I think I like this more than SHP the more I look at it. Since scoring centres are not necessarily the best face-off guys I see it adds some complexity to centre selections. But I am not entirely sold yet.

So if anyone has a stat we have omitted that you really like, please mention it. I know I am open to change my mind and I am betting others are as well

G, A, +/-, PPP, SHP, PIM, SOG, Hits, Blocks, ATOI. I like that ATOI can be filled with both forwards and defensemen (almost favoring defensemen) whereas FOW is strictly a forward stat.

Have we talked about possibly using just PTS as a category because that can be a helpful stat in an instance where say:

Team A: 7G, 7A
Team B: 6G, 15A

Without using PTS the two teams split the categories 1-1 whereas if you we were to include total points team B would be rewarded for having more total points.

If we can include Total PTS I would exclude SHP for Total PTS

Although I now see that none of you currently use total PTS in your leagues so no biggie if we dont use them I'm fine with SHP instead

With those few additional votes
Blocks and FOW are now at 9 of 11 and SHP is at 6 out of 10-- Nothing other than the top 10 have garnered more that a single supporter--

personally I was surprised no one raised GWG-- I play that in one league and considered it but it just seems so random-- The guy that scores the goal to go up 4-0 in an eventual 7-3 win . . . it never seemed to correlate to much of anything as you win goals 15-6 in a week where you lose GWG 3-2
