I have a soft spot for black pads. Too many white pads out there today. I know the thinking is that it makes it harder to find an opening when taking a shot but if you think about it, the black pads make it harder to get those garbage goals since it's harder to see the puck against them.
Also the badass factor which can't be ignored.

It's really amazing how a new piece of equipment can really change the mindset of a player. Just dump all of the negativity on the old equipment (though I have to say, those brown pads deserve all the negativity they can get) and start fresh. Thankfully this starting fresh seems to be going well so hopefully Bryz can keep it up come playoff time.
