    Postseason Predictions

    Alright so now that we have our first round matchups set, we can all speculate as to who is going to come out on top.

    In the East I have

    (1) NYR def (8) OTT in 6
    (2) Bos def (7) WSH in 5
    (6) NJ def (3) FLA in 5
    (4) Pitt def (5) PHI in 7

    Then

    (1) NYR def NJ in 7
    (4) Pitt def (2) BOS in 7

    Then

    (4) Pit def (1) NYR in 6

    For the west

    (8) LA def (1) Van in 7 - only if Jeff Carter plays
    (2) STL def (7) SJ in 5
    (3) PHO def (6) Chi in 6 - only if Toews / Bolland don't play
    (4) NSH def (5) Det in 6

    Then

    (2) STL def (8) LA in 6
    (4) NSH def (3) PHO in 6

    Then

    (4) NSH def (2) STL in 7

    My Stanley Cup Final pits the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators. With Pittsburgh having home-ice, I give them the edge and thus the win for the Cup.

    Rangers all the way baby! Let me just say it now, I can't stand the Pens....I will be one disgruntled hockey fan if I have to see those SOB's win a cup this year.

    The talent level on the Pens is unmatched. They win over Nashville in 6 in the Final.

    Show me a team that has arguably the two best players in the world, add in a 40 goal scorer in Neal, a future norris trophy winner in Letang, a top 5 netminder, the absolute no question best third line center and future selke winner Staal, and not to mention one of the best pp and pk units in the league. And to top it off we have Dupuis who happened to end the season on a 17 game point streak (longest in the nhl this season).

    All of this didn't seem to matter lol
