Depends on how the draft pans out. Some possibilities: Griffin Reinhart, Hampus Lindholm, Brendan Gaunce, Sebastian Collberg, Zemgus Girgensons. But with any pick in that range, it's speculation what kind of player you will end up getting in the long run.

I am curious what you are looking to gain by trading Sharp for Eriksson? They both put up similar point totals but Sharp has the edge in goals. Is it Eriksson's consistency (3 straight 70+ point seasons)? The four year age difference?

It just seems like more of a lateral move and you drop two rounds in the draft in the process. Sharp is a better goal scorer, shoots more, hits more, plays on a better line, and he's still only 30. Plus Eriksson now has to compete against Jaime Benn for ice time. I don't see the gain for you.

I agree with what you are saying, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger. But yes, I was looking at the consistency with Eriksson, the potential for him to jump up a level, where Sharp has more than likely peaked and the 4 year age difference being that it is a dynasty league. Losing about 100 shots on goal per year, 60 or so hits and Sharp's FW's is a detractor.

From what I've read about the draft, it doesn't sound like there is a big difference in talent after the first 5 or so picks so you probably won't be losing much by going from 14th to 36th especially with the gamble on defensive prospects. If you can afford to lose the extra even-strength goals for similar points (potentially more) and some of the peripheral stats it could very likely work out in your favor. Like you said, Sharp has pretty much hit his peak while Eriksson can possibly put up more than his 70+ points per year average.
