    Centers in new homes...

Hey all just a few quick thoughts on Ribiero in Washington and Roy-Ott trade between Buffalo-Dallas.

Brad Richards left Dallas, went to a better offensive team in NY and his stats flatlined. Could ribiero do the same? I could forsee a massive overrating on Ribiero (a very solid player) by people assuming his 80 point seasons will jump to 100 point years...Not that they won't, because they definately could, but well I still dont see him being top 25-40 like im sure he will be rated..

Derek Roy...allegedly he was one of the people that caught Millers ire and was a focal point of his rant about the sabers...Think he will flourish in Dallas? Just needed a new home? Hes traditionally been near a PPG player...anyone see him regaining this?

Ott...Yet another talented physical player on buffalo.. I think that he should do quite well in buffalo, but will the players around him show up often enough to keep him fantasy (other then PIM) relevant? Which vanek will show up this year???

There's no way Ribeiro gets near 100 points last year. He had 63 last year and he won't be playing with any good wingers in Washington unless Semin re-signs (highly unlikely) or they split up Backstrom and Ovechkin. Washington also plays more defensively now.

Roy is going to be good in Dallas imo. Whether he plays first line or second he's going to have some good wingers with two of Eriksson, Jagr, Whitney, and Ryder. He was a ppg player before his injury last year. I think he can be close to that again. Hopefully he falls in the draft.

I don't think Ott will have much fantasy relevance outside of PIM's.

If you find managers who expect 100 points out of Ribeiro, you're in for a solid draft! He's only passed 80 points once and that was during an anomalous season (25.2 SH%). I think you're looking at a guy who 'might' reach 20 goals next season.

One issue with Roy is this shoulder surgery. He'll be out until November which could slow him down a bit this year.

Well.. I think you can expect a season from Ribeiro simular when he was in Montreal... around the 50-60 pts range.. Derek Roy will have a better year I think... probably a 60-65 point season compared to his 44 points this year.. and as for Ott... he is a replacement for the Kasian deal that was done with Vancouver.. so.. I think he will be lucky to get 30 points on the defense first Buffalo team.

Ribero-- hmmm-- I was actually in Dallas yesterday and on the plane ride back was a kid who had just attended the Stars prospect camp. While the kid was very far from making the bigs he did say that Ribero wasn't loved in the room. He indicated he didn't think many of the regulars would miss him that much. Perhaps a new location might lead to even greater success

Ott __ I am a huge Ott fan . . . in leagues that count hits. He is usually good for strong PIMS and Hits-- enough scoring and shots that he is not an embarrassment and often some SHP (which can win a category all by himself).. I think that can continue and he would be a solid pickup in deeper leagues

Roy-- I went big for him last year -- Now I am more cautious-- He can be a fantastic player but I now have him as a huge injury question mark-- He could be great with some new wingers but I doubt I would be willing to go early enoughy on him to acquire him
