Thread: Who would you keep?

We actually changed our scoring categories to goals are now worth 2.5 and assists 1.5. Does this favor Sedin even more?

Well considering Sedin normally puts up more points than Hartnell it definitely favors Sedin. If your scoring system went from 2 and 1 to 2.5 and 1.5 then it's basically another .5 points per every point a player gets. So going by last year's stats Sedin would be getting another 38.13 fantasy points (using point pace) which is another .465 ppg. Hartnell would be getting another 33.5 fantasy points which is another .408 fantasy points. It all comes down to whether you think Sedin will return to his pace from the last two years before last season (1.27ppg, 1.35ppg, around .5 gpg in each) and if Hartnell goes back down to where he was before last year. Hartnell's shooting percentage last year (15.9%) was up quite a bit from his career average (11.3%) so I do think he will score less goals, but not that many less because I believe the reason he had a great season was because of playing with Giroux and Giroux should only get better. If it were up to me I would probably go with Hartnell because the change from 2 and 1 to 2.5 and 1.5 doesn't change their fantasy ppg that much and I think those point totals won't change significantly next year.

I feel like if I keep Hartnell and dangle Sedin for a draft pick I just may get a very good pick. Maybe a first rounder.

With the added point totals for goals and assists, last seasons totals were sedin with 250.8pts (3.5 points per game) and Hartnell 316.6 (3.9 points per game). So if I can flip D Sedin for a first rd pick I should do it?

As much as I don't like the Canucks, I still think I'd keep Sedin. He had a down year that I think he will bounce back from. But you are probably safe with either one. Dangle the one you think you will get a bigger return for.

    I would definitely do that.

With my point system who would be the best forward for this year- Parise/Spezza/E Staal/Hartnell?
