I could see hockey stating at some point after Jan 4. Even if they "reached a deal" TODAY, the fine print just takes time. Even an optimistic week for that puts you up to about Dec 20. Its possible teams could get together before Christmas on that scenario but I consider it HIGHLY unlikely .
