Nick Backstrom for Cam Ward: Too much to give up?

My main weakness in my one-year league is between the pipes, so in an attempt to ameliorate my goaltending situation I 've proposed the following trade: my Nick Backstrom for his Cam Ward.
This guy has a surplus of goaltending (Rask, Ward, Kipprusoff, and Hiller) while I have a good amount of forward depth (sig below), so I thought he'd be the best possible trading partner. Now I realize you have to give to get, but would I be giving too much? I had Backstrom pegged for about 80 points this year if healthy and took him in the 4th round.
If he were to accept the trade, I'd drop one of Reimer or Harding and most likely add T. Rutuu for some grit, SOG's, and top six minutes/2nd unit PP time.
Do you think I should withdraw this trade and go about improving my goalies another way? Or should I just stand pat and go into the season with my current team intact?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

See if you can get Hiller for cheaper? Maybe try Stastny or Koivu for him, see how that goes. I think Backstrom will have a bounce back year. Then again this all depends on there being a season at all.

I don't think I would drop Reimer... he is going to get a lot of starts if healthy.

Just curious but you took Backstrom in the 4th- when did he take Ward? I ask because I often find one-for one trades before any play has happened to be problematic. One party always has to trade the guy they picked earlier for someone that someone else picked later. THis is easier later as ongoing play changes valuations .

If Backstom was the earlier pick, my question to you is what has changed to make you value him less than Ward now when you valued him more previously?

Is it a case that you believe you have a goalie weakness and therefore are suddenly worried and valuing goalies higher

** note your sig is not showing for me right now so I don't see your team to make any real assessment
