The rate of injury does not seem that high to me compared with a normal NHL season. Just a few injuries and nothing season-ending yet that I recall. Recently though it seems the SWiss league has been disproportionately tough on the NYR.Originally Posted by Rocketman9
My bet is not many more get to Europe-- Its too close to Christmas for many to want to bother now and my hope/belief is the NHL is playing in January .
I agree that proportionally it is probably less, but my comment was only that players are getting injured without playing any NHL games, which obviously can happen.

Yup but compared to say even NFL OFF FIELD stuff, the impact on NHLers from playing in some pretty serious leagues, has not been too bad so far
Well no one has been killed to my knowledge in the NHL. Two guys in the last 2 weekends for the NFL. Tragic.
