Even if you ignore the (L) and (GA) categories for goalies, they would still comprise 33% of all categories in your scoring settings. Given that it will be 2-3 goalies contributing to those totals, I would think goalies are of importance in your league. So, my first thought is that you likely waited a bit too late on the goalies in the draft.

Also, since you use (GS), (W), (SA), and (SV), that changes the goalie dynamic as well. Goalies who play many games and face many shots would be kings. That's going to be guys like Kiprusoff and Ward (and Pavelec fits the bill there as well).

I have some concerns about Elliott being taken as your 2nd goalie given that he is in a tandem situation and therefore his (GS), (W), (SA), (SV), and possibly (SHO) will all likely be half that of a traditional starter.

I'm sure others will have a lot to say to help you with your roster, I just wanted to make a few goalie points.

The goalies I was eyeing down the draft board got snatched up on me, so this is what I ended up with.

We have a max weekly pickup of 4 players, I was planning to use them to pickup goalies to supplement the guys I already have, that's actually how I came to find out about this website.

With the PP points scoring, I felt like Jagr was a great pick, but I haven't followed that closely the last few years, but I would assume that he will probably not play a lot, but should be fresh for PP time?

Also if you would suggest who I should look at cutting for streaming G? I am thinking Nail, but I am not familiar enough with him yet.

    Thanks for the reply!

Mike, also there is a huge Wings fan in my league, I could possibly pull off Zetterberg for Niemi, should I do that? Hard to decide because while I like to win and draft value, I also over value players who I like(which I think is what might have really hurt me this draft).

If you could land Niemi, that would be huge.

You could try the streaming goalie thing, but it will take persistence and you'll have to hope no one else is doing it as well. Based on your list, Vokoun, Hedberg, and Garon will likely get the most starts on that list.

As for Jagr, he averaged a little over 16 minutes of TOI last season with the Flyers including just over 3 minutes of PP TOI each game. You can have a look at his player profile here at the site which reveals his TOI breakdown:

Your team has a lot of question marks. I agree with Mike about your goalies. I just personally don't like Anderson and don't think he'll be that good (Ottawa as a whole I see regressing) and there's also his 2 backups who are ready to pounce and take starts. Elliot is in a tandem, but probably the lesser half of it and Pavelec is a roller coaster and doesn't have the strongest team in front of him. You also waited a long time to pick some RWs. There's some potential there, but a lot of question marks and risk too. That could be another weakness. I do like the first 2 dmen you took and the last too have potential to put up big numbers. You got some work to do, but you never know. Hopefully Kopitar isn't out too long and Benn gets signed. I really think you lucked out getting Tavares at 20!

Would do this in a heartbeat. You need the goaltending badly and Z isn't what he used to be.

Im texting w/ him now... I don't know if I will be able to get it done. I am thinking of offering him Tavares as well, I seem to have a ton of centers, and a winger should turn up somewhere.

Edit: Offering Tavares to him, not on top of Zetterberg.
