    Advantage?

Was wondering if there was any statistical advantage, other than the almost sure win, of having 2 goalies playing against each other, the case being for tonight (if they start) Lundqvist vs Rask. Matchup right now in nets is (Mine having 3 wins)

    3 2.42 .918 0
    1 3.32 .857 1

Should I always start both in these type of situation? Opponent has both Blues goalies and Kipper.

I don't see any disadvantage here. The advantage is you're guaranteed a win. I wouldn't say you should always start, but good luck chosing between the two as this game could go either way. Situations differ depending on where your matchup is. This will most likely be a defensive battle. Even if either goalie lets in 3 goals, you will still be winning all categories except shutouts. Also, if you start 2, better chance of getting a SO than trying to decide which one will get it.

In leagues with no cap on goalie starts, the head-to-head start is great for securing a bump in the Wins category. There is not really any other advantage to it that I can think of.

In leagues with a cap on goalie starts, it can be completely the opposite depending on who the goalies are. For example, if two goalies with win percentages higher than 50% face each other, you're actually reducing your overall chance at increasing your wins category, since you can never have a total win percentage greater than 50% when two of your goalies face each other and you start both.
