What on earth does speaking French have to do with it?

No thing really. However, I believe the official language of Canada is English where as the official language of France is French. I prefer it if the inhabitants of a country speak a common language that is all. Again, I am an American and know very little about Canada or any place outside the US. In fact, I know very little about the United States. No offense meant. Skol!

P.S- In 2002 I was traveling in Dominica and stumbled (literally) into a bar where a wedding party from Canada was watching the Gold Medal Game versus the USA. The Canadian fans got me even drunker than I was already and did not seem to flinch at my shit talking. Needless to say, we all know the result of the game and as I was getting into the rental car of my babysitter/girlfriend on the way back to the resort, I dropped droors and mooned the Bar! The Canadian fans were a pleasure to hang out with and very tolerant and generous. I have no similar experiences with the French.

Very funny Mike. I feel that our team is really good, but our main problem will be in net. I think it is clear the americans, swedes and Finns have us beat there. Other than that, I see no real weakness.
