    Where's my Luck

My opponent this week has Theodore and Roloson, he has made no moves to get a start from somebody else to meet the 3 game minimum. Now, because Roly came out in a relief effort, he's going to get his bloody three starts on Sat. (likely)

meh, Guess I'll have to settle for 3 goalie stat wins (3 W, 1.62GAA, .944 S%) and a likely tie at 0 in shutouts.

Wait how does Role coming out in relief count towards his minimum starts???
In my league that wouldn't count. His stats would...only if he had 3 other starts. If not he could have a .1000 SV% and 0.00 GAA with 2 shutouts but acquired those thru 2 starts and 2 relief efforts and NONE of the stats would count.

I agree, it shouldn't, but it does. I checked and it's rewarded him with one start.

Yea that's dumb. Then the rule isn't 3 starts it's merely 3 appearances. Big difference...and if the rules for your league actually SPECIFICALLY says 3 starts then I'd talk to whomever set up the league and explain the massive difference between a start and an appearance.

It's like I have 200 max starts a year for fantasy baseball. As such I could rack up 500 innings with relievers and not a single appearance counts towards my max starts...because it's not a start lol.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but that is a rather large loophole in your rules that probably needs to be addressed.

In the Yahoo Pro League I play in, the requirement is 3 games played (they use that specific language) for the goalie minimums. A situation such as the Roloson one mentioned above would result in his appearance counting toward the minimum.

Roly pitches 4 periods of shutout hockey to take all the goaltending stats but wins away from me. Man, week 1 Lehtonen, week 2 Quick, week 3 Roly. Snakebit for sure.

Well as you said, 3 games played is a heck of a lot different than 3 games started. Guess it doesn't really matter sounds like he was done in by Role's shutout. If it makes you feel better the Rangers absurdly stupid play in the final 10 minutes that caused Lundy's collapse (1 goal against in almost 50 minutes then 3 more) combined with Rinne's shutout also ruined me. I also only got 1 stinking win this week

However if Khabibulin plays tomorrow and so does Halak I should pass him in saves and then if they both do decent (2 goals against each probably I'm guesstimating) and I should pass in SV%. I'm not winning GAA unless I get a shut out and a 1 goal performance lol. However a shutout would also be great in that we both have 1 this week so if things went well I could walk away winning 3 of 5 or at least going 2-2-1.

I have Khabi tomorrow as well, but my 1.6 GAA and my .944 S% aren't going to touch his .86 GAA and his .969 S% even if he does get a shutout (although at least I'll tie shutouts lol). Have to settle for wins, and at least my skaters are ruining him barring some freak of nature game out of Bobby Ryan tomorrow.
