What's the story with this guy? Heard he will be the starter for Columbus.

He's a very capable backup (we highlighted him in our draft kit this Summer) who has been recovering from an injury. He is headed to the AHL this week and will make a rehab start on Friday. So, he's still a week away from a CLB return.

I watched the PHI/CLB disaster and that was a total team failure. Mason had no chance on many of the goals and his team was shorthanded for a large part of the 1st period.

Thanks Mike..is there a chance he will take over Steve Mason? Everyone is putting the team's failures on Mason. I can stash this guy on my IR but is it worth the risk?

Dekanich was due for AHL rehab work before returning to Columbus. We have a report that he left the ice in pain during the warmup tonight.
