    Rate My Team Please

    Ten Team H2H League
    I had the seventh pick
Stats: goals, assists, shots, power play points, shots, game winning goals, wins, shutouts, save percentage, goals against average

Center - Duchene, Roy, Krejci, Koivu
Left Wing - Datsyuk, Vanek, Kostitsyn, Kulemin
Right Wing - Heatley, Brown, Hornqvist, Cleary, Selanne, Hemsky
Defensemen - Lidstrom, J.Johnson, Enstrom, Pitkanen, Leddy, Kulikov
    Goalie - Fleury, Ward, Hiller
    IR - Whitney, McDonald

I feel like my team is pretty solid and very well-rounded. Any advice about how good/bad my team is or where I need to improve would really be appreciated.

Goaltending looks very solid, Hiller and Ward should come around. That's 3 legit #1s, 3 guys most people had ranked in their top 10 for goalies too.

I think your LW is hurting a bit - Kostitsyn and Kulemin I would try to improve there personally.

Your Center and Left Wing positions look solid as well. I like your defense, though I too have Jack Johnson and they guy is KILLING me right now, he started off pretty well and has gone completely silent in the scoring department. I like you got Leedy, I think he's one of the gems of the year personally. Enstrom is out so that's gotta hurt - any chance Quincey is on your wire? If you can grab him, do it immediately. Once Whitney comes back that's only gonna help..so yea, that's my opinion. You are fine in the goalie department, but I think you could try to beef up your LW and defense a bit and that might help. How has your season gone so far in your matchups BTW? What categories are you losing in? That will also help us assess where you need help!

    I am currently sixth.

Here are my wins and losses for each stat as well as what place I am in for the total of that stat.

    Goals: 1-3, 8th
    Assists: 2-1-1, 9th
    Plus-Minus: 2-1-1, 10th
    PP Points: 2-2, 8th
    GWG: 2-1-1, 2nd
    Shots: 1-3, 8th
    Wins: 2-1-1, 1st
    GAA: 1-3, 5th
    SV%: 1-3, 5th
    SO: 1-0-3, 3rd

I forgot to include plus-minus in my original post. I also forgot to include Stepan, who I dropped Cleary for a couple of hours earlier. I think a lot of my forwards are underperforming, plus I had five goalies for about two-three weeks so that is probably why my offensive stats are near the bottom.

Quincey isn't available. I have Kulemin because I was hoping he could repeat his 30 goal year. My team doesn't score many goals so I'm afraid to drop him and then watch somebody else pick him up and play like he did last year. Kostitsyn has actually been pretty good (Sergei Kostitsyn forgot to say which one). He's averaging .8 ppg.

You don't need 6 D, your categories support forward heavy teams. I'd drop/trade two of them.

I agree with NightParade here, without the categories of BLKS, HITS, PIM, or ATOI your much better off trading away some of the many defenseman you have for some more forwards. Im in a league that only counts BLKS I have been doing very well (2nd in G and A and 1st in PTS but 8th in BLKS) with keeping just 3 defense man. I can tell you in my league where the scoring is quite similar, the teams with 3 or 4 goalies and 5 defenseman are doing the worst. The ones with the most forwards are doing the best. Thats with starting 2C, 2LW, 2RW, and 2D every night I dont know how your league is set up.

That's a solid point. Pitkanen is due to miss a week here I believe.

Also when you asked me how Burns and Kronwell were available in my league, I can now see why you questioned by they were available in my league. My league is only 10 people with only 16 roster spots and 1 IR spot so thats only 170 players on active rosters. I can see you have 23 guys on your roster plus 2 on IR so thats close to 250 players on active rosters. That means theres around 80 guys who are free agents in my league who arent in yours despite the fact we are both in 10 team leagues.

There are six defensemen spots. Three center, left wing, and right wings spots and two goalie spots. Then there is five bench spots. I am using one of the bench spots on a goalie and the other four on forwards. Would you still suggest trading or dropping one or two defensemen?
