    Pacioretty for Brodeur

I was offered Brodeur. I think it is a good trade but wanted to run it by the experts. My only concern is Brodeur health. My LW aren't the strongest either but I'm thinking the FA pool would be easier to find a LW then a goalie.

    What say you?

20 total categories, 7 are goalie related - how many goalies can you start a night and are you capped with max starts for the year? If you can start 2 a night and no cap, I personally like this trade. Brodeur comes in as your #3 goalie and a pretty damn good #3 at that. You should have a pretty good heads up on the competition with those 3 goalies IMO.

Your offense, though...yea you are hurting honestly. Sans Malkin, you really don't have a prolific scorer (I guess Plekanec)...who's available on the wire? Did you live draft that team or auto draft it? Just curious I guess, wondering if there are guys on the wire that you could trade up on. Guys like Henrique, Leddy, Quincey, Luke Adam, etc..

I drafted this team. Had the 12th pick. Went Malkin, Vokoun then 36-37 Crawford, Carter, 60-61, Lucic Keith. With Malkin and Carter both hurting my O has been down. Hopefully both being back I get some offense. The Waiver in point order no one left above 10 points, Leddy, Desharnais, Higgins, Ansimov, Wellwood, Burmistrov, Foligno, Z. Smith, Kopeczky, Bouchard.

I know not much. He has Brodeur on the IR and he will have to drop someone. I'm trying to find out if it will be Morrow, and he'll throw him in. Then I could drop MacArthur.

    Thanks for the advice

Yeah, I'd take Brodeur for MaxPac for sure. I have Marty on my team and I'm confident enough to say he'll start 50 games this season and get 22-25 wins. He's not done yet, the old man can still play. lol

I'd do it as well, that's cheap for Marty imo.

Brodeur is still Brodeur, even if he's not as good as before he can still put up decent numbers as a #2 goaltender. I'd do that trade and maybe try and trade Brodeurfor a better forward later on when he's on a hot streak. Will Pacioretty's value get much higher? Brodeur's will for sure.
